Bard vs Ford Prefect: Acquire VIP

Scenario: Acquire VIP
Your team has been tasked acquiring two VIPs, they have important intelligence on something that is way too important to tell you about. This is the only time anyone has known where they were gonna be in advance, and it's both of them. Clearly this is far too great an opportunity to pass up.

The Entire area is engulfed by a thick fog.



(East approach VIP)
Unfortunately one is escorted by a large compliment of Chimera.

Including twelve Hybrids(ten with bullseyes, and two with Wildfires), three Steelheads,five Longlegs, three Slipskulls, two attack drones,and one Titan
The Southwest tower is manned by one Chimeran sniper. (They have invisibility)
The Eastern alley's courtyard side is flanked by two Chimera Ravagers


(West Approach VIP)
It doesn't get much better with this one. He has hired a large contingent of Helghast soldiers to escort him.

This includes ten Standard Troopers, two Support Troopers, two Air Troopers, two Capture Troopers, one Elite Shock Trooper, one Commando, two HAZMAT Troopers, and two ATAC's
The Lion is manned by one Helghast Sniper. (They have invisibility)
The western alley's courtyard side is flanked by two Heavy Troopers.

Deadshot is in the tower near the courtyard, hired to make sure there is no interference.


Both VIPs will be meeting in the Gazebo in the middle of the courtyard. During their meeting it will be surrounded by adamantium shudders, and after they will go back the way they came. The gazebo is also home to Deadshot's pay, the Zorg ZF-1.

The Red Room is home to it's own little goody a supercharged gravity gun.

However it is guarded by a formidable laser grid.

The lasers are all the killing kind.

Similarly the FishMarket's second floor is home to a portal gun.

It also however is guarded by an equally difficult laser grid.

Now time to meet your VIPs!

Their Meeting is estimated to be going to last ten minutes, and your teams arrive on the map one minute before them.

Ford Prefect's Team will start at the Merc Small Spawn. Bardian's Team will start at the Commando Small Spawn.

Victory is achieved by keeping both VIPs in your start point for two minutes. Upon which your super-magic transportation out can be accomplished. The VIPs must be alive.

Objectives in a Nutshell:
1. Ambush VIPs
2. Eliminate Escort
3. Neutralize VIPs
4. Transport VIPs to extraction point.

Robin(Teen Titans): Whatever the fuck he can find in that god-forsaken utility belt.

Adam Jensen: His combat rifle, 10 mil pistol, stealth, blades, strength enhancements, 1 EMP grenade, and lung / EMP resistance enhancements.



Sam Fisher: FiveseveN, sonar goggles, sc-20k and 2 frag grenades.



Roland Deschain: His pistols (and all of his fingers)



Travis Touchdown: Beam katana



The Rookie (ODST): Silenced SMG, magnum, and VISR.

Ah, very nice! Are the VIP's hostile, or docile? And Adams invisibility is light distorting so he should get through lasers easily (in game as well, but those were alarm laser...similar enough?) I'd say Adam is really the go-getter for my team, just for his stealth and strength.

VIPs are hostile, and snipers have thermal scopes. As for the lasers, idk about his stealth working on death lasers. I kinda doubt it.

Well...My team would need the gravity guns or the portal guns to capture the VIP's (they're not really a non-lethal team unless jensen can use his full arsenal, which includes stun guns, tranq dart guns, and knockout gas grenades). I see the chimera and helghast having a real problem with EMP's, and Jensen (who is really seeming overpowered when I look at him now) also has the smart vision to let him see enemies through walls, akin to Fisher's sonar goggles, plus the Rookie's VISR should let him see enemies through the fog easily.

Oh yeah, and Jensen's combat rifle has an upgrade that gives it an ability like the Chimeran Bullseye

Yeah...I think I'm good with me and Ruliya's scenario....I feel sorry for Legolas in this match personally. Have fun figuring out strategies for this.

Legolas should see through the fog and the active camo of the snipers (I assume that's the "invisibility" we're using) due to his ability to see small differences over large distances ("you can tell a sparrow from a finch a league off")

I'm trying to get ahold of Bard.

in the meantime Ford I'm curious, have you thought up your teams strategy or are you waiting for Bard to post his or say his is ready?

I haven't looked at a good layout for this map, but my team will need to get the grav-gun to capture the VIP's. I would assume that Jensen could disable the chimaera with his EMP and could possibly take out Deadshot with his stealth. I really need to look at the map though.

Roland is the heavy hitter with his massive hand-cannons and lightning reflexes, but he's squishy compared to someone with armor.

The Rookie is the weak link to me, he'll be manning the gravity gun to transport cargo.

I could see Sam being a sniper and providing fire support/enemy positions with the SC-20k and his goggles.

Note:This would all be done as silently as possible, with the team eliminating any resistance with silenced weapons until the final push.

Now that I've seen a good map, I'd say my team makes a break for the grav gun(the Red Room is closer and it will be the only viable means of incapacitating morbius or vamp). My problem is getting through the lasers. ZomB seemed skeptical about Jensen's cloak bending these lasers.Sam uses his sonar goggles and scoped sc-20k (or was it 30k in current incarnation?) to snipe the chimaeran sniper out of his position. We don't try to get through the chimaera until sam can get to high positions near the southeast. Jensen is cloaked and could conceivably take out Deadshot quite easily, tagging him with his combat rifle's homing ability. When the time comes for a frontal assault, Sam snipes the Chimaera from his position atop one of the buildings to the south. Jensen pops an emp grenade into the mass of chimaera, disabling their energy weapons and sensors for a short time. Sam and the rookie end up lobbing frags into the crowd. Rolland is a liability, he can't do much in the early match (his guns are way too loud), but now he can provide cover fire. I would say that Travis is keeping out of direct fire (in a building near merc small spawn) and out of EMP range until the blast (and frag grenades), where he then uses his beam katana to take out the large chimera. The true problem comes with the VIP's. If I can't get hold of the Grav Gun, I'm kinda screwed here. They are tougher than most of my team.

I'mma throw down my plan without feats, since I can't post links.





Robin hops and skips his gay little way through the room with the portal gun, then after getting it shoots himself out of the room using the gun. The team then proceeds to teleport their way up to deadshot. After they get up there, hellboy and the sangheli make quick work of mister sniper, giving him no time to use his rifle. They then give the post to legolas (after taking the zorg) who will wait for a while, holding deadshot in an upright position so that if the helghasts or chimera happen to look up at them, they will not realize he has been terminated.

Now is where it gets fun. The sangheli ditches the piece of shit plasma piss-tol and grabs the zorg. He and robin move towards the east approach. Robin makes use of his ice disk grenades to jam the chimera weapons and attempt to stick them to the ground. While this is happening, Legolas either uses deadshot's rifle (if it is allowed) or his bow to take out as many chimera as possible, and the sangheli uses the zorg to cause some serious, but nonfatal damage to Vamp. Once no chimera remain, robin freezes vamp completely and the sangheli proceeds to carry him to the extraction point.

On the other end of the map, Hellboy and Vasquez use the Portal gun to teleport behind enemy lines. Then, Hellboy's big baby and Vasquez's smartgun (set on the delayed explosion mode) take care of the helghasts with legolas providing fire if he's already finished taking out the chimera. After the poor soldiers get their asses handed to them, hellboy proceeds to beat Morbius's skull in until he's unconscious, grabs him and takes him to the extraction point.
